Now that SCC has started touring Canada, can I draw the conclusion that he will tour Europe anytime soon? That would be something!

Something Behind the craving for fame1 year ago420 views0 comments

Maybe there is something pure behind our craving for fame, but it got twisted into an product of our pride. Maybe our feeling of need for fame was taken from a selfless righteous desire, but was twisted into a selfish craving for personal recognition. Sometimes we buy the lies that say if you’re not famous, then you don’t have value. Once we buy the lie, the thoughts start coming. We conclude that in order to have purpose, I must affect others. I must have an audience, and the bigger the audience, the bigger the difference I have made.

The outcome of the game “Apples to Apples” like many other card games can be thought of as being determined by two factors. The first factor is the cards you’ve been dealt, the second is how you choose to play those cards. Life is much more than a  game, yet life can be compared to the game, and we can learn something of life from our comparison.

Do you remember when you were a very little child, and your father, mother, or maybe a grandparent sat you on their knee, and began to bounce you? Then suddenly their knees would give way, and for a second it seemed as you were going to fall. If you have any memories of moments like those, I would like you to revisit them.  I cannot remember things from such a young age, but I have since seen it many times.
